Experience
I am currently studying a Masters Degree in Theatre at the University of York having completed my Undergraduate Degree in English & American Literature with a First Class Honours last year. Having studied English for many years I understand that it has become stigmatised as academic and outdated. However, I believe that this subject is highly interesting and extremely valuable, and I look forward to sharing my passion for English with my students. I have previously worked as an English tutor for French students of all ages and thoroughly enjoyed helping them progress and develop their command of the English language. I have five years' experience of writing analytical academic papers to a high standard, and practising high level reading and comprehension skills. I also have experience of creative writing and journalistic writing, as well as editing and proof reading. I look forward to sharing my skills and experience with you as a teacher.

Hobbies
At the moment I am heavily involved with theatre production as an actress, director, designer and aspiring playwright. I am becoming particularly interested in costume design and I am learning how to sew and make my own clothes. For many years I have been a singer and guitarist, which I continue to practise in my spare time. I also enjoy watching films and (of course) reading and writing whenever I can.
